A lot of times, if you are wanting to cut weight or body fat, you might find people suggesting to eat white fish. Usually, this means tilapia, but I have found a very delicious fish that doesn't have the same strong taste as tilapia and it is very easy to bake! I never heard of Swai fish until I found it while browsing the seafood section in the grocery store. I don't know why I had never seen it before, but there it was and then I was hooked. Swai is a type of freshwater white fish with a mild flavor and flaky texture. I love to season it with smoked paprika, berbere, and salt to taste.

For a tasty bake, preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit, place the thawed Swai fish in a single layer on a baking sheet (I like to cover mine with aluminum foil with a quick spray of non-stick cooking spray for easy cleanup and no cooking to the backing sheet), then season, and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the fish is flaky and a solid white (no opaqueness at all). Take out of the oven and enjoy or separate into food containers for your daily meal prep.

Cooking food doesn't have to have a super complicated recipe to follow and I hate when I have to buy so many small items to barely use for a recipe and then let them sit for weeks until I use it again, so something as simple as this is my favorite and makes my meal prepping so easy! Feel free to try different fish out there and find different seasoning combinations to use. You could be very surprised with a little creativity.
